TEHE

YEEEEEEEEEEAH...  8 MORE DAYS 'TILL ST PATTY'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!
What's the significance?  To an Irish Dancer, this is like, huge enormous Marathon day.  To me, it's a fun-filled day of awesomeness where each year I get to see how much longer I can go without keeling over!  XD  haha just kidding, I don't plan on keeling over this year!  I remember one St Patty's day, I think the 3rd one in, we rented some of the Bob Hope/Bing Crosby road shows, and then we ordered Papa Johns pizza.  We ate the pizza, and then odorF fell asleep, after sitting on her bed for a second.  She later woke me up at around 2 in the morning and asked if we'd been asleep long, and what happened.  It didn't matter that she missed the movies though, because we all eventually turned them off and zonked out too!  :D
I'm super grateful we don't have the early morning news this year, I guess it counts as sleeping in that the first performance we have is at 9 this year on the 17th!  haha!
Anyway, keeling over normally happens AFTER everything is over, and we're s'posed to go to sleep at that point, so it's all good.  Speaking of which, it's about past time for me to go to sleep now!  Busy day of lots of teaching tomorrow, which is obviously going to be a BLAST!
Fun memories.  (:  I'm allowed to skip down memory lane, this'll be my 11th St Patty's Day as an Irish Dancer!
I laugh though, because although the dancing is a huge part of it, to me, St Patty's Day represents so much more.  Family, friends, teamwork, love, and gratitude.  I'm so thankful that I've been able to dance with my marvelous family these years!  Mom and Dad have been through each St Patty's Day with all of us, and each time it's a hugely rewarding experience.  And to be joined by some of the most amazing people ever on the way has been a wonderful thing!  I love my friends and students so much!  And to see them work so hard to learn everything they need to, and then perform it brings happiness and joy to my heart!  And to work with them is an honor and privilege.  Yes, St Patty's Day is in 8 days, and I'm SOOOO EXCITED!!!
